You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it”- Robin Williams
IMPORTANT
First things first. If you have anxiety or addiction or are struggling with hormones, go and see a medical doctor.
This isn’t medical advice. You may have a serious condition that needs medical attention immediately.
If you’ve gone to the doctor, been given the all-clear, and are still struggling, then this might help.
WHAT MIGHT BE GOING ON?
ADHD is found with other conditions. This makes a lot of sense.
People with ADHD are known for being extra sensitive and aware.
Everything is heightened. A sense of being different, feeling crushed, out of control, and worthless isn’t uncommon.
Mind, body, and spirit are all connected.
Add hormones to this, and it’s chaos.
HOW DOES ADHD AFFECT THE MIND AND THE EMOTIONS?
Sensory overload
is a key characteristic of ADHD. It can lead to a mental shutdown which can lead to a feeling of being out of control.
Emotions
are extra sensitive along with the five senses; touch, smell, hearing, etc.
People can be difficult
Young children are more able to ‘be themselves’. The elderly are often more mellow too.
Throughout much of adulthood, there’s much competition, anxiety, and insecurity.
It can be difficult, as you dodge put-downs and bullying from those who are anxious or insecure.
Dealing with difficult people and sensitivity is a tough mix
Being surrounded by cruel people is one thing, but when you have an innate awareness of the importance of kindness, it makes it doubly difficult to encounter bullying.
To survive, it’s vital you have a strong sense of self. We’re here to help you achieve this.
HOW TO TURN IT AROUND
Stop trying so hard.
Be yourself.
Imagine your best self... and be that person.
Switch your mindset from dealing with a ‘disorder’ to focusing on your exceptional qualities.
You may not believe in your incredible qualities, but I can guarantee you have plenty. Start looking!
