THE POWER OF GETTING STARTED
- There’s rarely a good time to start. Sit down and begin. Writers, (even me writing this) literally must sit, breathe, and let it flow.
- Set a timer for 30 minutes.
- If you totally freeze, get up and leave, don’t flog yourself for failure. In this case, the question ISN’T how can I force myself to do this, but instead, ‘why am I so panicky?’
- The difference here is self-love and self-kindness instead of self-flagellation. You’ll find the kinder you are to yourself, the easier it is to concentrate.
- Know you have control in your life.
